BROTP: Pyka
Warning: The Pyka section below applies only to seasons 1-4 of Warehouse 13 - as my BROTP became my NO-TP in season 5. The sad, sad summary of this is located here: Bering and Wells Outlook and Myka Bering and the Defining Moment.
One of the best things about Warehouse 13 is that the show, at this point, does not follow the predictable storyline of the two attractive opposite-gender leads with conflicting personalities eventually falling in love with each other. It's already been done a million times beforehand. Even on the show, two former agents, Jack and Rebecca, have that exact storyline. Instead, Myka and Pete have formed an awesome "brotp," two wingmen destined for each other. Myka and Pete are like brother and

sister in every way. They hate each other sometimes, annoy each other constantly, but, at the end of the day, love each other very much (just not sexually).
The actors, themselves, have consistently stated that they do not support their characters ending up in a romantic relationship. There also have been multiple times on the show where the characters have directly addressed their relationship, dismissing a romantic sensibility to it and confirming the brother-sister dynamic.

Together, Pete and Myka high-five like maniacs, play and hit each other (mostly Myka) like children, and form an awesome Warehouse 13 partnership that capitalizes on their differences.
Anti-Romance
|
- In 3.02, Pete is whammied by an artifact, making him start to regress mentally in age. As he does not remember knowing Myka, he tells her that she is hot and pretty, which makes her very uncomfortable and leads to her telling him, "Okay, that's gotta stop right now."
- Episode 3.03 basically is sixty minutes dedicated to ending the possibility of Pyka being romantic. The episode starts out with Pete and Myka waking up in Artie's bed together, naked. While Pete is not completely disturbed by the fact that they may have slept together, Myka is panicked, declaring, "We did not 'whammy' each other, okay? And I will prove it, or I will die trying." The duo then spend the rest of the episode trying to prove that they did not have sex. In a flashback, we see Jinksy telling Pete and Myka that he is gay, resulting in Pete taking off his shirt and telling Jinksy to go ahead and enjoy the view because no one at the Warehouse appreciates it. Myka, unimpressed and embarrassed for Steve, tells Pete, "Put your shirt back on."
- Later in 3.03, Myka continues to freak out as it looks like she and Pete may have drunkenly (they weren't actually drunk, but experienced artifact-induced drunkenness) done the deed. Pete tries to calm her down, "Look, we aren't the first platonic friends to ever get wasted and end up in bed together." Even more upset by that thought, she yells, "I would never do that! God, I don't think of you that way!" Pete: "And I don't think of you that way either. It's just, you're my partner and my best friend, okay? And nothing's going to change that, not even us having sex and forgetting about it. Okay, so let's just forget about it, deal?" Myka just frowns miserably and says, "Deal."
- Finally, 3.03 concludes with Pete and Myka discovering that they did not have sex together. Not only did they not have sex, they, even in their artifact-drunk state, had enough awareness to know that even the idea of them having a fling would raise massive red flags to each other. So, they set themselves up to wake up in bed together naked to make them backtrack on the rest of the evening and discover/undo the mischief they had caused. Myka: "Just waking up together wouldn't be enough. We got into bed naked so it would look like we slept together." Pete: "Something that would never..." Pete and Myka, together: "Ever!" Myka: "Happen! Something, I knew I wouldn't rest until I proved it was false."
- At the beginning of 4.15, Pete complains about the fact that new girl Abigail does not prepare food for them like Leena did. Myka explains, "Abigail's a therapist, Pete. She's not a short order cook, okay? She's here to help Artie. Make your own breakfast. You're an adult...sort of." When Pete digs his hands into the cereal box, she snatches it away from him, telling him, "Gross." That is not sexual chemistry you sense. It's out-right mothering by Myka.
The Actors

- "I mean, why does everyone always [inquire?] when are Pete and Myka going to get together? What an interesting twist to have Myka fall for a woman." - Joanne Kelly in a Media Blvd. interview from July 2012
- "I hope not. I love the fact that Pete and Myka love each other, but are really just like brother and sister. Like, I could listen to her tell me things about her love life and not be jealous, and just actually want to help her. And I think she would do the same. As soon as we finish pulling each other's hair and poking each other's eyes, we can actually sit down and have a real conversation that doesn't have to be diluted by some kind of sexual tension." - Eddie McClintock when asked whether Pete and Myka will get together in an io9 interview from April 2013
