A common threat of Viserys Targaryen's was "Don't wake the dragon." He soon found out who the real dragon in the family was, and it wasn't him. Instead, people really should heed that advice when dealing with Viserys' sister, Daenerys Targaryen. Dany has one of the most compassionate hearts in the Game of Thrones/A Song of Ice and Fire series, but she also is one of the last people you want to piss off. When she's angry, it's terrifying...not because she's loud and yelling. Just the opposite. Instead, if you notice a calm, yet determined look appear upon her face...just know, you are fucked.
She may start the series off as a 13-year old girl, but very quickly, she's bossing people around, outsmarting people four times her age, and, in general, kicking ass and taking names. Her self-confidence skyrockets from being almost non-existent at the beginning of the series to where she's literally wearing a cape for a large part of season 3. A cape, people!
Episode 3.04: And Now His Watch is Ended is basically the ultimate Dany being an HBIC episode, and it ends with her doing an Essos version of dropping the mic. Her theme song for that episode should be Ludacris' "Move Bitch (Get out the Way)" - see below. Dany is the HBIC in the GoT/ASOIAF universe and if I have learned anything from the series so far, it's pretty clear that she's going to continue being the HBIC for a very long time.
