Orange is the New Black 2.12: It Was the Change

Continued from Page 3 of Orange is the New Black 2.12: It Was the Change

After that surprising sexual collision, we return to the world of platonic friends. Or, well, ex-friends. In the library, Poussey and her "buddy," Taystee, are re-stacking books to higher shelves. When Taystee stares at her, Poussey sasses, "You gonna help, or just stand there creepin' me out?" Succinctly, Taystee responds, "Fuck you." Well, that went well. "[Vee] threw me out. That's what you wanted, ain't it? You win. The only person that ever looked out for me in my entire life, you got her back to turn." Hurt by this,
Poussey asks, "The only person? Well, fuck you." Uh, ladies, this is not helping.

Taystee: "You ruined everything. You...you couldn't just be my friend. You gotta...you gotta go turn it wrong." Oh no. "You gotta...wanna take off my clothes." Poussey tries to cut in at this accusation, but Taystee yells back, "You said! You said plenty of words. You couldn't let me have one damn thing to myself!" Uh, that "one damn thing" is an evil, heartless, drug-dealing monster, Taystee. It's not like Poussey had a problem with you being in a book club or something. Poussey justifies, "She's not a good person, Taystee." Seething, Taystee pointedly replies, "I...don't...care. You fucked up my life." Poussey tries to leave at this point, but Taystee confronts her, asking, "You just gonna walk away now, too?" When Poussey answers, Taystee shoves her hard into the ground and menacingly stands above her.

At this, Poussey breaks down and begins to sob, causing Taystee to finally realize what she is doing. Taystee falls to her knees and tells her, "I'm sorry, P. I'm sorry." Poussey embraces her

and the two finally reunite among their tears in the darkened library. Yay, Taystee and Poussey are friends again! Boo, the intense "Fuck you" exchange and loud weeping definitely gave me less happy feels.

The scene then cuts to Piper lying awake on the cafeteria floor and noticing Officer Bell is asleep. She quietly rolls out of bed and begins to slowly try and creep past Bell, who is sitting in front of the door to the hallway. Piper, what are you doing?! Jail break?! Is this a jail break?! Thankfully, no, it is not, but we see her flashlight scanning someone's office. And by someone, I mean Fig, of course. Oh boy. Inside one of the drawers, she finds some documents on the mysterious FitzCore Construction that has been at the

heart of the controversy of where all the missing funds have gone. Piper grabs a stack of papers, and as soon as she stands up to leave, suddenly, the lights above her flicker on, and Piper understandably looks like she's about to soil herself. RUN, PIPER, RUN!

She bolts out the door, only to find Caputo locking up his office and staring right at her. Well.......fuckballs. At this point, I would recommend trying the Homer J. Simpson and seeing if that works. Caputo, calmly: "You want to explain?" No, not really. No, thank you. The scene cuts away before we can see what happens next. Damn you, show! Must you keep the suspense up!

Finally, to end this episode, Red is standing in her ruined greenhouse and begins to try and clean up the mess. The door opens without a sound and someone walks in, holding a long sock with something weighing it down. It's Vee! She swings the sock around right into the back of Red's head who
reels around, stunned. Without hesitation, Vee winds up and violently bashes in Red's head with the weaponized sock again. As Red stares up, dazed, from the ground, Vee performs the Mortal Kombat "Finish Him!" move and it's lights out for Red and the episode.

Uh, is Red alive? Anyone? Anyone?! On to the season finale we go...
